Can I call you or schedule a complimentary consultation?

Virtuoso is an exclusive network that allows us to provide you extra benefits such as daily breakfast for 2, resort credits, upgrade at check in (upon availability), early check in/late check out (upon availability), custom welcome amenities, and more.  These benefits are exclusive to us and can only be booked by your Luxury Travel Advisor. This also helps us ensure our vendors are vetted and are held to a specific standard for your best travel experience.

What is Virtuoso?

Yes! Travel insurance was created to protect you. It is not just for if someone gets sick in another country. Depending on the policy, it also covers things like trip cancellation, lost luggage, missed connections, trip interruption, emergency evacuation, medical expenses, and more. We personally never travel without travel insurance.

Should I purchase travel insurance?

In most cases, you will pay the vendor or the hotel directly. In some cases, you will pay the agency and we will pay the vendor. But we will advise on a case by case basis. The payment policy depends on the payment policy of our vendors.

How does the payment work?

The cancellation policy will always depend on the cancellation policy of the vendor. We always encourage travel insurance, but in cases where you are within penalty and are not able to travel, we try our best to work with vendors for flexibility.

What is the cancellation policy?

Our minimum requirement is usually the hotel, as that is where most of the compensation is associated. We prefer to handle every aspect of your trip, so that we have the control of the success of the trip, as well as being able to assist in case any issues arise. We are only able to assist with issues when we book the service. With custom itineraries, we are required to handle every aspect of the trip due to the logistics.

Do I have to book everything with you?

We can assist with flights, transportation, accommodations, touring, dining recommendations, custom itineraries, and travel insurance.

What components of a trip do you assist with?

Our typical traveler is someone that typically spends $500+ per night on hotels, enjoys private or small group experiences, and understands the value in working with a travel advisor. Of course, there are some exceptions that can be discussed.

What are the parameters to work with a Luxury Travel Advisor?

When using points, travel advisors are not compensated since there is no monetary value. There are some cases where we can suggest the flights and you can use your airline points, but this should be in combination with a hotel booking that is commissionable. If a travel advisor recommends a hotel and you book with points, it is not really fair to the advisor who put time, research, and effort into these recommendations.

Can I use my airline and hotel points when booking with a Luxury Travel Advisor?

We coordinate every part of the trip including flights, accommodations, touring, transportation, and dining recommendations. We map it out for you and coordinate everything in a way that makes sense and creates the best possible travel experience for you. Once everything is arranged, we put everything in an easy to read itinerary that you are able to take with you while you travel. This itinerary has any information that you might need including confirmation numbers, contact information, times, meeting locations, inclusions and exclusions, and policies. We clearly lay out everything you need to know while you are traveling to prevent any questions or issues.

What does an itinerary planning fee get me?

In many cases, it does not cost you anything. You may be wondering what the catch is. There is no catch! For simple trips like flights and a hotel in Mexico, we do not charge any fees. Instead, we often get you extra benefits and the hotels pay us a commission so you don’t have to. For complex itineraries, including multiple hotels, flights, touring, and transportation, there are some planning fees associated. This depends on the type of trip and is discussed before we start the planning process.

Does it cost anything to work with a Luxury Travel Advisor?

As a top agency, we are part of many preferred hotel programs. Not only do we get you VIP status at these hotels due to our long-standing relationships, but we also get you exclusive benefits like daily breakfast for 2, resort credits, upgrade at check in (upon availability), early check in/late check out (upon availability), custom welcome amenities, and more at select hotels. You pay the same rate that you would pay at the hotel and you get all of these extra benefits as a bonus for booking through us.
